Should be easy , remove the acorn nut and the odometer **** and lift up . But mine seems stuck on like weld . I don't want to force anything , is there something that I am missing ?
If I remember right.....that is the same dash as on the Slim, the skull like dash.
The acorn nut is the only thing keeping it on. You shouldn't have to remove the ODO button. The gasket is just a soft flexible strip, not anything formed, but it does have an adhesive holding it to the dash. It's just stuck to your tank. I would spray the rubber with some WD40 and it should pop off.

I sprayed it with WD-40 and let it sit overnight and it popped right off after soaking . Wow ! that thing was really bonded on there . For a bike with really low miles the rear gas tank bolt was gaulded in the threads too . Had to heat with a hair dryer to soften the lock tight and it still beat up the bolt . Seems like they are using red lock tight !
