Yes , That is your connection to your battery tender , also you can use it to plug in a heated jacket , phone charger etc , if you have one .

Looks as though you have two separate plugs , could be that each passenger had their own plug in for a heated jacket etc . The little black " box's " on the wiring are the fuse box's for each plug , check those for 7.5 amp fuses .

15amp doesn't make sense to me , most battery tenders run a 7.5 amp fuse . I have 2 plugs running on mine for a phone charger and heated jacket , both are 7.5amp . I can't think of anything that would need a 15amp fuse in this case .

That's a nice battery tender you've bought. Many of the tenders don't put out enough to bring back an undercharged battery, so you might still need to take it out and get it charged somewhere unless you also own a charger. Also, when not running you should look for 12.6 volts from your battery, or at least very close to it. If you're down at 12 volts you are still under-charged, something like only 25%. Here's a good reference on batteries. It's for boats but there's good info here for us.

That Optimate is a charger and a tender and will bring back to life a dead battery if there is any life left in it.

Was very low - Battery out and now charging and testing - looks like a good piece of kit.

Does a 12 hourly test to make sure it’s holding voltage etc.

🤞

will keep it trickle charging regularly if all goes well.

You did not have to take the battery out. Your two dangly leads from the battery are what the Optimate plugs into. There should have been a new lead with the optimate so remove the other two and fit the new one and leave it dangling under the side of the seat.
All you need to do then is just plug it in and forget about it.

Yes - will replace with the new lead.

i thought that was the case but for first charge I thought I’d take it out and use the clips - for some reason it feels better 😂

when I last looked it had a good charge and was green light on the tests. 👍
