Thanks for all the greeting. I've been away from the forum the last couple years living in my motorhome in Florida. It was great riding weather down there.
After 52 years I thought I was done riding last May when I turned 68 I sold my old Super Glide.
A friend bought his first Harley last November. I got to looking at it and said maybe I'll get a smaller bike.
I went down to the local Dealer 2 weeks ago to look at a Sportster! Will I looked at the Sportsters and the sales man takes me over and shows me a 2013 Fat Boy Lo with 1,085 miles on the clock. I went home and later that day he calls and says they knock it down to $13,000 the way it's pictured.
Long story short I bought my last bike again.
I know just what you mean.. I sold my last bike 2 years ago when I was 71 after riding since I was 16 before the service in '65... I went and got me a 2005 Fatboy last year for my last last bike... So I'm riding again...at 74... Best of 73' and ride safe...
turning 74 next month, still riding 25k per/yr. I also thought I was done a couple of yrs back, but was just bored with the same old BMW i had ridden for 6yrs. 1 1/2 yrs on this 114, 36k miles. I love the bike!
after riding for nearly 45 yrs, sold my "last bike" 5 yrs ago ... now 70 and started a bucket list .... always wanted a Bad Boy and found it at the top of my bucket list ..... not many of those still around and for sale .... found a 97 FXSTS with only 11,000 miles so bought it, my "last bike" ... now for more riding
I gave up my FLH 2 years ago, thinking I was done. My wife knew I was missing it, so surprised me with a "New to Me" 2008 Heritage softail that she found on Craigslist. Only 20k miles and show room condition. I'm riding again and have never been happier.
