New guy here, and this seemed to be the best forum for info so here I am.
Have a question, what is ballpark number for a factory windshield for 2017 FLSTC? I found a 2017 with only 194 miles on it at what I feel is a good price. Love everything about the bike, but the windshield is missing. Sure there are aftermarket windshields I could put on it. But seems silly to buy a Heritage Classic and first thing I'd have to do is buy parts to make it a Heritage Classic. The salesman claims it never had one, I call bs on that. Really like the bike and $13,500 out the door sounds good to me but kinda feels like buying an incomplete ride. So if they can't *** up the oem quick release windshield, where would I find one and how much is it gonna set me back?
Welcome. Looks like cost for OEM is $350-400. Windshield is standard equipment on Heritage, so salesman is BS'ing. Make them a final take or leave it offer at your number to include the windshield.

Congrats on a great bike. Some people dislike Craigslist and similar sites but you can often find what you’re looking for at a great price. Who knows, might even make a nice ride out of it. Shipping for a windshield shouldn’t be too much. Good luck.
The bike has quick detach hardware on it. Harley doesn't give anything away for free. That bike came with a shield. On a side note, I picked one up at a swap meet in really good shape for $50.00
As others have said the "Heritage Classic" has always come with a windshield. There was 1 or 2 years around 2005-2007 when HD had 2 models of the Heritage (the "Classic and another I think just called called Heritage ?) and one did not have a windshield. But in genral all came with detachable windshield.
There are always used windshields being sold on Ebay, craigslist etc. If you decide to go new on my Fatboy I ended up after buying 1 HD windshield changing to Memphis Shades because I like the quick detach system much better than HD and there are many more choices of windshields and a batwing fairing and are less expensive than the HD products. I have 2 different sized windshields and a batwing fairing for my fatboy and all change out in a minute or 2
you have the hardware, so just need the shield. OEM will be a bit spendy, so try to get them to throw it in. Or id just go to ebay. it will be like $75 with free shipping

Walk away if they won't GIVE YOU what belongs on the bike and see what happens. As stated, sales dude is full of ****. A person can work there and not know what they are selling!
