I am going to replace the stock seat on my 07 Deluxe with the Mustang wide vintage solo and the 14" wide rear passenger seat. The stock seats are just to uncomfortablefor rides more than 20 minutes.
My question is this, I really like the seat rail on the stock seat, Will it fit the mustang wide vintage solo seat with the wide passenger seat?? And...If it does, will the Heritage seat rail fit also?? Somebody here must have tried it by now??
I still have the stock seat on my Deluxe but wanted to have a backrest for long trips so I bought the rail and back rest that goes with the springer. Took about 20 minutes to change out.
I really like the seat on my scoot but after riding for 50-100 milesmy butt hurt so now when I go on long rides I just put on my air hawk, BIG difference and cheaper that buying a new seat.
So how do you like the tall pad? Ive got the short pad and am still trying to get it shimmed exactly right, but I think it does provide some extra support.
I have not experience the springer seat, I have only seen it and read about it, from what I can remeber it does sit yu back a little bit, the problem I found was they are hard to find and if you buy a new one they are more than a mustang or corbin. As far as the fring goes, depending on what year you get some have the fringe and some do not. I personally do not care for the fringe and have cut it off my factory seat. Mustang makes very nice comfortable seats and so does Corbin, the Corbin seats are a little more money ($100.00). you can check ebay and possibly get a used one, keep in mind good seats take a while to break in the feel very hard when you first get them but are much more comfortable. You can also check out the Lepera line, they are a real good seat for the money (cheap).
If you are directing that question to me, I really like it when I am on the hwy and place my feet on my hwy pegs and lean back. I did have to modify it a little as I wanted it lean me closier to the apes
