Just picked up a 2013 Heritage softail with 44 miles. Bike looks brand new and runs great. I know i need to change all the fluids and probably tires also. Does Harley use synthetic oils or convention oils for new bikes? Should i stick with Harley fluids or use someyhing else?
So, whats story of why the bike only has 44 miles after 7 years?
i once purchased a 2+ year old bike with 12 miles. The owners first ride turned into dumping the bike and having to repair the front fender and subsequently deciding after two years of staring at the bike in the garage that riding wasnt for him. 😂

he bought the bike and found out he had cancer. Never rode it
Nice find!. Just picked up the same thing with 29,000 miles tho. Black.
Harley puts conventional oil in these. HD360. At least they did mine. Not a bad oil but way too pricey. Synthetic in the M8s I think. Only thing special about HD oil is the price and it says HD on the bottle. I run a conventional race oil in the motor, gear oil in the gear box, and chaincase oil in the chaincase/primary.
If you're going to run motor oil in all 3 holes it has to be motorcycle/v-twin oil.
Opinions vary greatly. Pick your poison.
