Default 2007 HD softail springer custom charging problems

Okay so I put a new stator in since the other one was fried. New VR and I’m still not charging. Had battery tested it’s good. Both stator and VR are cycle electric. I did have a problem with the pins connecting and snapping into the old connector. I’m going to do a test on both stator and VR tomorrow but wondering if anyone else might have a suggestion on what I should check besides this.

Start with your stator test you should have at least 33 volts AC at 2000 RPM.. (t might even get 43 to 46 volts AC on a three-phase alternator) disconnect the plug for the stator and probe each field. Also to check to make sure you're getting 12 volts power to the regulator and that the regulator has a good ground as well Check the body of the regulator to the frame Make sure you have real good continuity..

Default Update fixed

Did all the testing for VR and stator. Found that the reusable connector and the pins on the stator wasn’t snapping in right. After messing with it I finally got it snapped in and started the bike to test it again. She’s charging great now and no more issues.

I would start here... if you had a problem with the connector going together.. Then the connector is the best place to start...

EDIT: Ooops... I see you have it figured out... don't know how I missed that....
