Hi all
I have a chance to purchase a set of 2018 heritage wheels priced reasonable & was wondering if they would fit a 2005 heritage. The size & width seems the same, just don't know about bearings and ABS.Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
I did a swap similar a few years back. A set of 2015 wheels on to a 2006 Deluxe. I wanted the tubeless spokes.
The front just needed bushings to reduce the bearing ID to fit the 3/4" earlier axle.
The rear was another story. The rear hub is wider. .400" wider on the drive side.
I unlaced the wheel, and machined the hub, including deepening the bearing bores to fit the stock size 2006 bearings. Then re-laced the wheel. Put about 20,000 miles on it since.
