Default Need FL Springer front caliper options

So I bit the bullet on a PM custom caliper to go on my springer setup. The problem I'm running into is the mounting plate sits much higher than where the stabilizing arm hits. This technically should still work, but I really don't want to tinker too much with the geometry of brakes. I can go back to the stock caliper mount, but am not thrilled about a single piston front brake. What aftermarket brakes have you all used with the original mounting bracket? Might consider aftermarket options for brackets, but after the miss-fit of the PM ones, I'd rather stick with the stock bracket.

Here’s kind of the issue I’m having for a point of reference. Pm looked at it and said it still should work. Bit a bit concerned about that angle.

so far in the initial test rides it’s been ok. No problem noticed. In theory it all runs the same plane. But would hate to be wrong at the wrong time. lol

So you replaced a 4 piston Harley caliper with a 2 piston PM caliper?

no. Stock caliper is usually 1 piston if memory serves. This is a two. But I’m having reservations on this setup for the long haul. So considering throwing the stock bracket back on and going with a 4 piston bolt on. But not sure the specific brands or models that might work like that (though I’ve seen pics around here).

Every modern springer Harley made (with the exception of a few CVOs) had this single piston caliper...

Your pic shows this caliper...which I believe is a 4 piston...

Oh! Sorry for the confusion. This is off my breakout which I put the springer on. That’s the stock rear mounted front caliper before I swapped it out.

The 2009 FXSTSSE3 CVO Harley springer had a 4 piston caliper...part number 42077-09...it should bolt right on your stock bracket...and allow you to run a fender...

A crossbones fender would look nice on a breakout...
