Hey guys, just wondering who all is headed up to Sturgis this year? This will be my first trip up there and I'm looking forward to the experience. We will be trailering our bikes up to Lincoln, NE from Texas, then riding from there. I'm expecting a sore back and anumb butt, but you gotta make sacrifices every now and then. For those who are going, be safe and hope you guys have a great time!
You know I think neb has a helmet law ,a bunch of us are riding up from ft worth going the long way thru colorado cause we have some dont own helmets....see ya there Tom..
Ya well, I havent joined the iron butt clan yet. 600 miles is a stretch for me right now. This will be one of my longest trips so far, so wish me luck. I hope to make longer ones in the future, but I think this is a good start! I ride a slammed softail with 18" apes, so not the most comfy on the longhaul. It's taking those bumps pretty hard now, feels a lot like a rigid.
Yes Nebraska is a helmet state. From Lincoln go west on 80 to Grand Island. Then pick up hwy 2 west all the way to Alliance, then up north thru 385 to the black hills. Nice ride.
Hey board... I live in Lincoln. Where you guys meeting up at and when? I am not going to sturgis but I wouldn't mind swinging by and checking out that fine Heritage of yours live. PM me if you wish otherwise no worries.
A buddy of mine and myself are going next year. Neither of us can make the trip this year.
My aunt and uncle live there and we are meeting up with them.My dad and I will be driving in on Tuesday, 8/7, and the train will be heading out early Wednesday morning. I dont know the town very well at all, but I'll try and let ya know where we'll be once it gets closer to that time.
