2019 FatBob FXFBS - Factory-security-system
Hi Frns,
My first post in forums. Made a purchase of 2019 FXFBS 114. Yet to be picked from dealership. I was looking for all security options like disc lock, chain etc to keep it safe as it will be parked in my community parking (not garage).
I am aware my bike comes with Fob however I am not aware of what factory security system means except that you cannot start bike without fob(excluding pin option). Does it have siren/alarm by default? If yes how it works.? I learnt 2020 models do not have chirps by default but not sure about 2019.
Any help & advice would be highly appreciated valuable to me. Thanks a lot!

Prad welcome to the forum.
I have both a FXBB and FXFBS and they have a HD alarm with shirps and acoustic sound wen the alarm is triggered. But keep note that a alarm is no warranty that the bike will not be or could be stolen.
A good lock on somthing solid like floor a anker or so is safer then a alarm but nothing is 100% bullet proof.

I learn today after all my research, that any alarm locks are not fool proof & it just delays & annoys thief to steal it. As you have confirmed that my model will have sound alarm by standard, I am now just focusing to buy a disc lock (with or without alarm) & a 10mm+ thick chain & lock to lock against a near by pole and a bike cover.
I also learnt about monimoto tracker mm6 which is pricey(costly) but I think it will be worth(if it works the way they promise) which will call my phone the moment it detect some movement. On papers, i am liking the way this technology. Hoping this will give peace of mind when I go to sleep at night! (Though am not sure if FXFBS has some place to put this in like a hidden spot)

I have to add the chirps. Can also add a pager to notify you when somebody tampers with your bike.

On my 2018, the "security system" would cause the blinkers to flash. I don't remember if it chirped or not, but I don't think so, it was pretty much useless.
I had to add the "siren" to get a wailing nasty high-pitched alarm. That also enabled the use of the remote "pager". It's a decent system, should do what it's supposed to, and the pager has enough range that it will work in a hotel room while the bike's out in the parking lot.

Just a remark,
You all know you can activate / deactivate the chirping , mine are off since I find it disturbing each time you arrive somewhere and turn the bike off those enoying chirp-chirp sound so I turned it off. Al so my dogs
hated that chirp-chirp sound
