If you take your time and look around continuously you can find a bike with many less miles for that price or less. It's all about diligently looking and jumping at the right deal. If given the chance between two identical bikes from the same model year with one having 64K on the clock and the other 35K I know which one I'd go for. But then I'm a habitual Craigslist browser, and see many deals, both good and bad there.

I was going to look at the bike this afternoon but after getting this email I think I'll pass:

"I went to start the bike and let it run for a bit, but didn't disconnect the trickler and so i blew a fuse. (Turn switch to accessories and lights come on. Turn switch to on and the fuel injection doesn't make it's noise and the odometer stays dark."

Do y'all think it's just a fuse or could the FI system be damaged now?

Softails only had Delphi, just an observation fenders have been re-painted as no pinstripes that should match the tank

I know this is a week ago.... but I'm hoping you ran away from this bike...!!!

Trying to starting a bike with the charger attached won't usually blow a fuse.... Unless it's a real old, crappy charger, or there is another problem with the bike....

A bike with high mileage and good maintenance is not a big issue....

A bike with high mileage, no maintenance history, and a problem that that the seller passes off as a "fuse" when it most likely is not... is a big problem...

If I was selling a bike and it blew a fuse due to my mistake, I would just replace the fuse, check that I fixed it, and move on.... The seller isn't telling you something... or knows very little about his bike...

I hope you let this one go and are continuing your search for a better bike... they are out there ....

Yeah, I passed on the bike. Now I'm busy stripping my Sportster for a hardtail!
