The conclusion was that MM fuel injection was not used on 2001 Heritage's. I'll make sure to confirm only one fuel line is going to the FI unit. According to the thread, the Delphi unit had one fuel line from the tank while the MM unit had two fuel lines.
Interesting, so MM was never even put in a Softail apperently. Funny how rumors always spreads. I was looking for a 2002 EFI specifically when I got mine. I liked the bike I bought best anyway for reasosn such as paint job, exhaust, milage etc.

i can do the cam tensioners, new cams and slip ons but never did a tune / remap on fuel injection. The bike appears stock but I prefer a more performance over stock. I'm thinking SE 203 cams, nos SE slip ons- eBay has a pair around $225

I stand corrected. I have an 01 Ultra with MM, and thought all 01's had the same system. Thanks for the info.

I bought a 2002 Heritage with 21000 miles two weeks ago. The PO was the second owner, but he bought it in February of 2003. He took great care of the bike and it showed.
More importantly, he had a full paper trail of service. I was also able to verify mileage through state inspection records (Dallas area). He had the bike listed for $5500.00. When I asked how flexible the price was, he said, he had offers from $4000.00 to $5000.00. I gave it a night of thought and offer $4000.00 he countered with $4500.00 which I thought was fair. I have never bought a bike with more than 10,000 until this one, mostly because there are so many garage queens on the market. However, the condition was great and the price was fair from an owner who maintained the bike properly. at 60,000+ I would probably pass unless the price was a steal and the owner kept up with service. As long as it was maintained well there are plenty of miles left on the bike. My concern would be resale after another 10-20,000 miles over the next few years. I would be thinking closer to $3000.00 with those miles but flexible up to $4000.00.
