CVO muffler mods
I picked yo a set of the 07-09 CVO mufflers for my 17 flstc. They fit great and I like the look. I pulled the baffles and they are way to loud without them, especially living in an apartment complex. I drilled a 1/2" hole in the little plate in there and it made a slight improvement but still not much louder than stock. I am going to go ahead and take the whole plate out and see how that does. That being said, I don't think it is going to make a big difference.
Here is the question, would removing the packing do much or is the catalytic converter at the head end of the baffle keeping it quiet?
