I have noticed a vibration in my front end when running 70-80 mph. I have put on a new front tire and had it speed balanced, didn't help any. Any thoughts what it could be?
2012 Softail Classic. It was doing it with the old front tire that had started cupping. I thought a new tire would fix it. It was install by a professional bike shop locally. Today rode about 20 miles on the interstate at 70-75 and it seemed as bad as before. Below 70 or higher RPMS don't notice it
Friend of mine has an older Heritage and he had similar to what your describing , turned out to be an untrue rim . When the new tire was installed did they check the spokes and true the rim ( I think that's what they call it ) ? Might be something to look into .
I had a similar issue that I chased for a while.
It was so bad that my teeth would chatter at 70 mph.
Two things I didn't check were the trueness of the rims or perform a "fall away" test to adjust the neck bearing bolt.
I figured given the hassle of performing those checks they would be my last options.
I ended up putting Ride-On in both tires and the issue seemed to go away.
I'm not saying for sure that Ride-on was what fixed the problem but for $15 a wheel it might be worth a try.
I've been adding Ride-On on ever tire change since and the vibration hasn't returned.

Check the rims for true and run out, My 16 Deluxe had a bounce at around 35-40 felt it in the bars but it ended up being a out of true(left/right movement) on my rear wheel, go figure. Good luck, Ride Safe.
They didn't check the true of the rim as I could tell. They looked at it cleaned the inside but that was all. Thanks for the info. I was thinking maybe a wheel bearing or something wrong with wheel.
if the new tire didn't fix the problem. i don't think i would go the route of ride on. there is something wrong that is doing this. the shake might go away with ride on but the problem is still there.
