Default 1996 Heritage

I am picking up this 1996 Heritage from a buddy. It needs a new bottom end and its cheaper to install a 113 Ultima motor than trying to import parts for the 80". The 5 speed tranny and starter are still fine. Would you pay the extra $1500 for a 6speed ultima tranny/starter or save the $ and reuse the older parts. Wont be a daily rider, I have a 2018 Heritage for that. I am thinking of converting to springer so the money would go toward that. Will needs wheels and such as converted to mags.

The transmission will be fine, that's all about preference. As for the starter if it's stock you might have problems turning over to 113 with a little bit higher compression unless you have compression releases on that motor.
