does a 1996 heritage classic seat fit a 2005 heritage classic? i need to buy a stock seat and found a 96 for sale.

 

I think it won't fit, because 96 is an evo chassis and your bike don't. I think that the distances in the chassis and the way the seats fit are different.

Maybe anyone could help you more but I think it's difficult to adapt this seat to your bike.

I agree that it most likely will not work. You can probably contact your local dealer to double check
