Apes or not
I also watched the video and it clearly shows that most of the bikes had taller and some times an extreme height to their apes and it was probably done as a joke or just the fact that they wanted to have a little fun. The vast majority of bikers that I have seen have a much more practical height to their apes and as somebody that is approaching 70 years of age, I have found my apes to be very comfortable and I'm in no way concerned about what ignorant people that might have never ridden a bike with apes, have to say.
I didn't read all this thread. I quit when the clueless douchebag posted the anti ape video. Anyone who thinks apes are not comfortable never rode a bike with apes. I've still got the stock 10" minis on my heritage classic and can't wait to get some decent 16s. Doing the drivetrain first. My lower back kills me from slouching. With 16s I sit up straight. Another thing I found with apes on my sporty was slow speed maneuvering was way easier. Like having power steering.
I originally posted the wrong link, so I edited my post and left "wrong link" while I tried to find the correct one. See, I have a a bunch of similar videos of stupid looking bikes on a YouTube playlist that I watch on gloomy days when I can't ride so I can have a good laugh at all the morons that make their bikes look like total garbage. When I found the correct link I came back and corrected my post. Follow the link you quoted IN YOUR OWN POST YOU CLUELESS SCHMOE. The link in your post, of my post, does in fact point to the apes vid. So you had the correct link when you posted, so how could you not have known it was the correct video? Because you're clueless, lol.
And I'm not "overly concerned" about what people would think if I had those stupid, ridiculous looking bars on my bike that you love so much - I'm just "regularly concerned." And congratulations to you for being the only person in the world who doesn't care what he looks like or others think of him.

I'm certainly not the only one who doesn't care what others think of me.
Making life decisions based on what others may think of you is a VERY sad way to live life. You're obviously unhappy about that, so you overcompensate by mindlessly lashing out at those who don't share your lack of intestinal fortitude. You also seem to have a problem with differing opinions, and again, you mindlessly lash out at those who don't share yours. You must be a liberal!
The super aggressive way you bash apes, and those who have them, leads me to believe that someone with apes must have bitch-slapped you at some point in your life.

Hey moron, the OP asked a question and I answered him. The damn title of the thread is literally "Apes or not?" When someone enters a thread which asks a question that seeks other's opinions, they should be prepared for some opinions they might not like.
I think apes look incredibly stupid, incredibly uncomfortable, and that they have a detrimental effect on the handling of a motorcycle. He asked for opinions and he got mine. YOU'RE the one who seems overly concerned about what other people, namely me, thinks about your stupid handlebars. Sorry you got so butt-hurt that someone called you out on your ridiculous looking (and handling) bars. If you want to keep riding around looking, and acting, like a total tool, then just keep what you're doing.
P.S. when you quote someone and they change their post later on, your post doesn't also change in turn. There are numerous examples of people editing their posts, but their original words still being visible where they were already quoted by another member.

If I didn't quote your original video, how did I know it was the one with the raked out bikes in it? You must have brain damage. Maybe the chick with apes who bitch-slapped you caused it?

Have you read the uninformed, moronic, over-the-top, bashfest he threw down on apes, and those of us who ride with them? Pure, uncontrolled, rage that must have been brought on by a sound bitch slapping at the hands of a rider with apes on her bike.
Cheers!
