Default Push Start

This may be a rhetorical question although I’ve never seen a post about it. I grew up riding bikes that could be push started......BSA, Triumph. Now I’m on my first Harley, a 2000 FLSTC. Several weeks ago I left the ignition on and killed the battery. My first inclination was get on and roll down the driveway and pop the clutch.....that didn’t go well. I’ve taken steps that doesn’t bite me again.....new battery and lithium power booster.
Just for my information, can these big Harley’s be started from a roll

Have never had to do it but I would think it could be done if you push it far enough ... the first two rev's on the engine are dead rev's, meaning no spark ... they are to get the oil moving before the engine lights up ... and I may be wrong about this whole thing

If you have EFI and low volts it’s not going to start

If the battery is dead, forget it.

Yes they can, but you need to be going pretty fast. I couldn't do it.

No power will prevent the electric fuel pump from running, not going anywhere. Now if the bike has a Carb, have at it. Bigger the hill the better.

That’s a good point..... no fuel no go. I have a carburetor but the push wasn’t enough to get it going.
I could push start my BSA 441 one cylinder uphill years ago
