Default 2008 Softail Custom

Just picked up a 2008 softail custom which is completely stock and would appreciate suggestions on a fuel tuner and exhaust to enhance performance.

A stage 1 will honestly have little performance impact. The pipes are a matter of taste. The tuner keeps the mixture proper. That said i lime v and h pipes and an fp3.

Huh? Stage one = full modified exhaust, tuner, and intake. Yes, it will wake it up, stage II witha torque cam much better. I agree, but, the piston upgrade something better.
This is a science, where you want to start and the funds you have is key.

I’m a stage one upgrade type, afraid to do cams, don’t wanna build a time bomb, just want to have the motor breathe easy and the fuel mixture set for optimum performance. That said, I’d appreciate suggestions on the best exhaust and tuner combo for the bike. Want a typical potato-potato harley sound, nothing obnoxiously loud, but not quiet either. High flow air cleaner, performance exhaust and tuner is all I’ve typically done with my Harley’s, and I did switch my ‘96 Fatboy to a single fire ignition which seemed to help performance as well.

Change the cam to Andrews 48h cam. Then you will be happy. Go with dynojet PV. And whatever exhaust style you like. I went with v&h straight shots. I love everything about mine best thing I did was change cam

I just got a Fuel Moto and I really like it. As far as exhaust, 2 into 1 is the best for power gain and future mods. I went with 2 into 2 and like the looks, but ill be upgrading at some point.

I will second Fuel Moto. Great customer service. I have a their tuner on my bike. When Bassani wouldn’t return my calls or email, they got through to answer my question.
