Recently purchased a 2008 Fatboy. Either my legs are little short 31" inseam or just takes getting use to, but I want to find either floorboards that are not as wide, will fold up or replace them with footpegs style like I had on my softail. Ive seen forward control kits from HD, but in my research I am seeing some comments about the jiffystand and bleeding the brakes. Ideally would keep the front shifter and brake pedal

Any ideas or comments appreciated
Having a bike with each, I can say I would rather have floorboards. After using pegs it was a bit awkward at first finding where toi put my foot but it makes for a comfortable ride. Riding around town I think pegs would be better but for long rides, I would like floorboards.
after two years with floor boards im still not used to them. but not sure i would like pegs on a fatboy. i have highway pegs on the crash bar and don't find the comfortable at all, they make a good place to hang my helmet. my biggest problem with the floor boards is with my size 12 boot fitting on them.
That's where pushing them out and forward an inch in each direction helps, especially if you still have the heel shifter installed as it gets your foot out from in between the shift pegs.
Ive looked into all of this and thought of it. Im not looking for advice in making a decsion, I ve made that, and not looking for how others feel about it. Looking for answer to my question
Guess should have left that last sentence off
the other extenuating circumstance is had my left knee replaced so just that extra less bend will probably make my rides more enjoyable
