This may sound stupid but I dont have another springer to compare my question to. If you own a springer, does your triple clamp seat at the same angle as the neck rake? Mine is canted toward the front of the bike. I dont know if thats normal. Sure doesnt look normal. By the tank I have a 3/8 inch gap and the front is tight to the neck.
any help is well appreciated! Thanks
Hmmm. Mine does NOT tilt like that! I'm going to guess that at some point the fork got tweaked. Check the pinch bolts for tightness. Does the other side look like that? Does it handle wonky?
The triple clamp on my 2007 Springer sits the same way. Another Springer I saw at a nearby dealership was the same.
I asked the guy over the service department about it and was told it is in the design of the front end.
And to all I appreciate your help. Stopped by Harley shop today and they had a springer in for repairs. It had the same cant on the triple clamp above the neck that mine has. It looks wonky as hell but I guess its okay.
Im waiting for the bearing retainer tool from Lang and Ill adjust up the bearings and see if that helps my wobbles. Service tech at dealer swears thats the problem. Lol well see!
Also bought some Ride-On for balancing. Well see on that also!
