Default Michelin Commander III

Hello all.
Put a set of Michelin Commander III's on my heritage. My question is this.. Where the hell do you check tread depth on these things lol. As you can see from the picture, there basically is no tread on the center, and I would think the sides don't wear like they would in the middle. Wondering if there is a wear line under the solid part of the tire. Anyone have them on for a while that can answer this. I must say that the ride is really good, and the handling much better than my Dunlops.

As mentioned in the link provided by "crtfibl", there is a symbol on the sidewall and wear indicators in the grooves by the symbol..

"A Michelin Man symbol on the upper side of your tires means that they feature a tread wear indicator. Similar to little bumps, these can be found at the bottom of the main grooves. When the rubber has worn down to this level, the tire has reached its legal wear limit of 2/32nds.
Michelin strongly advises you to change your tires before reaching this point. Past this point, there is no guarantee that your tires will keep you safe or deliver grip and performance, particularly on wet surfaces."

I would also add, the symbols/wear indicators are spread around the circumference of the tire. The tire seems to have a tread pattern of three different grooves that then repeat themselves. It looks like every other group of three have wear indicators.. I noticed the wear indicators on a friend's bike a couple weeks ago.. I didn't notice there were several sets of wear indicators until I looked at the pics on a web site..

If you look close, you can see the symbol/wear indicators in these photos... I put arrows on them to highlight them..

Thank you very much. Amazing what you learn, even after riding for 40 years.

Maybe there is no marking (aka Michelin Man) but are there wear bars in the tread at certain intervals? Most tires have them nowadays.

I have the Commander 111 on my bike. I ride solo touring, mostly on state roads at moderate speeds. I live in Flatistan(Florida) where the definition of a sweeper curve is a right or left turn at a light...............these tires don't wear at all, but get square on the footprint after 20k miles or so. so the wear marks are useless. i notice the squareness at low speeds when turning at lights, a bit squirelly, unstable. I'm thinking about the Shinko tire next, softer and half the price. $170 for a cycle tire is beyond a rip.

I know there are supposed to be wear bars on them but I have looked every where even with a flash light but can find no sign of them at all, even when they were brand new
