Default Can Plate Upgrade

After deciding I didn’t have the time to do the cam plate and tensioner upgrade myself I visited Rolling Thunder Customs to set up the work.
Ordered the Screaming Eagle billet cam plate with hydraulic tensioners, new cam bearings, oil pump upgrade, sprockets and chains and SE 2 piece push rods and covers. Played with the idea of DIY but with my grooming work that would have been difficult as well as not having the special tools.
I know it will be done correctly and have confidence on a long ride. 1500 bucks I’m happy to spend.
Got my horn trigger installed (2 screws)....what a great invention and better because it’s Veteran owned....
cam work to begin when the snow disappears.

Glad you're getting the cam plate upgraded... but you should have gone with new cams too...!!! OK, never mind, I have the "sickness"...

I have to ask about the "horn trigger"... never heard/saw one before... I'm not sure what it's supposed to fix/do...?

In my younger life cams would be done, the tech explained with cams I would need air and fuel adjustment and probably exhaust upgrade to benefit from cams. I just want my old bike back the same except for fixing the tensioner problem.
The horn trigger is absolutely the best invention for us who use their horn in defense of cagers on phones. Goes on under the two Allen’s on the left grip. When you hold the grip in a riding position your thumb automatically is on the trigger that pushes the horn button.
HornTrigger site has a video......owned by a Veteran and sends you a chrome and a black for 20 bucks free shipping.
Maybe cams for my 75th birthday 😊

OK, thanks for the explanation... I was unaware that the normal horn button was an issue... but I must admit, I rarely honk... I tend to drive around idiots, rather than honk at them..

Maybe by your 75th, you'll want cams AND a big bore..! Never mind, I have the "sickness"....
