Still looking for tank emblems off '06 Night Trian. LuckyBob was going to sell me his, but he has been MIA for 3 weeks. I hope he's OK.

Actually I had a little family emergency and to be honest - forgot all about it. They are still on my kitchen table. If you're still interested, I mail them to you. I am sorry ,and I apologize to you. Was a bad moment on my part.

I had the dealer look them up for me last weekend. They are on '06+ Night Trains and go for about $50 for the pair new from the dealer. I was watching a set on Ebay last week that ended up at $111.90 + shipping...unbelievable. Some people will pay anything on Ebay without even knowing what the value of it is.

'07s have them too. I have mine that I took off, but they are kind bent up a bit...not worth selling. Just an FYI...07s came with them too.

Sure. Use a hair dryer to heat them up....not too much heat since you are working on paint, then slide a piece of fishing line behind them an kind of saw back and forth with it. Uses some Goo Gone to get the remaining adhesive off the tank. Pretty easy, just takes a little time and patience.

If you get them off, let me know. I would be interested in buying them.

ORIGINAL: imboden

hey dude, I don't ever remember seeing those badges on night trains. when they first came out they were painted on the tank with white hd lettereing on a red background. then in 03 it was the annivers. 04 & 05 came the triangle with the alligator texture under the HD writing, and in 06 was the current version. maybe I'm wrong? but I've followed night trains since HD started makin em & I don't remember that one. (I guess they really started making the NT in 1971 with the boat tail) anyways, good luck
We researched the heck out of that around herelast year.HD used the term "Nightrain" as part of one magazine ad for that bike back in '71,but the 1st year of theNightrain was 1999.The inspiration came from the song Nightrain by Guns 'N Roses.

99 huh?
what album is the song on?

i love how HD is so connected to rock and roll (except during the 100th anniversary concert). it adds to the mystique of the brand image
