Default Frame and swingarms over the years?

Anyone know what if any changes other than those to accommodate different drive trains, have occurred over the years?

My reason for asking is, I recently bought a 93 FX and the previous owner was a chrome junkie. Along with the bike, I got a tub full of misc chrome dress up **** which I intend on trying to unload next month at a swap meet. Past experience has taught me, people are going to want to know what years the stuff will fit.

Thanks in advance for any insight.

What else do you need to know other than frame and swingarm?

Not trying to give you a hard time here, but FX doesn`t tell us what frame it is.

FX__?

We can only assume it is a Softail, since you posted in the Softail section, but you could just tell us and we would know exactly what bike you have.

Sure. It’s an FXSTS.

Your best bet when selling at a swap meet is to say "It came off a xxxx year, xxxx model". Let them figure it out if it will or won't work on their bike. Honestly, anybody even looking at parts from that era are just about gonna know what it is when they see it; the ones who'll actually pull money out of their pocket anyway. People walk right by late model take off stuff these days because most are not mechanically inclined enough to change a brake lever without cocking up the switch.
