Default How can I disable or bypass tip sensor in BCM?

I have a 2017 deluxe with a sidecar. Every time I turn a little to fast or go into a curve at even mild to moderate speeds, the tip sensor trips and I have to cycle ignition to reset it. I know this is because of the sidecar and I know touring models have a way to get around this but the Local Harley dealer says there is no way to get around it, at least not at the OEM level. Does anyone here know a way to bypass, disable, or adjust the sensitivity of the tip sensor? It's really a safety issue at this point. Thanks for any help you could give.

I would think a simple jumper wire at the bank sensor would do the trick.

( no knowledge of CANBUS sensitivity)

From what I've read, there is a Bank Angle Sensor control in the BCM. You can enable or disable it. It is enabled/disabled for trike applications.... probably the same issues as with a sidecar...

Obviously the dealer's digital technician can access, and adjust, the BCM.

The Daytona Twin Tec, Twin Scan 4 says in the instructions it can enable/disable the BAS too, but I am skeptical.

I have a Twin Scan 4, mostly for ABS cycling during a brake fluid flush. I've never tried to enable/disable the BAS on my bike, but I did try to change my BCM to keep the fog lights on with the high beams. That would not work. When I contacted Twin Scan, the technician said that feature "hadn't been added to the tool yet, and the instructions were premature"... Unknown if he was talking about the fog light feature only, or all the BCM change features... It does allow me into the BCM to disable/enable the security, change the security code, and add key fobs...

If you know someone with a Twin Scan 4, they can try to change the BAS setting for you...

Good luck...
