Default tear drop tool box r/l?

i have a 05 deluxe and am curious if there is any reason to choose one side over the other? I'm also hoping someone can verify my bags won't get in the way? I'll have to get pic of other side tomorrow

Do both sides, like ME, heheh...

They shouldn't interfere with your bags. My hard bags, on Ghost Brackets, clear mine no problem.

Cheers!

Do you say they are big enough to fit most full size wrenches without an issue? I was thinking of putting together a tool kit using some ratchet wrenches

Nice Deluxe. The bags won't be a problem. You will be able to install the right side toolbox but your exhaust may pose a problem on the left side. Post a picture of the left side of your bike.

Here is the right side of my bike with the toolbox.

On the left side, I cannot install a toolbox because the exhaust pipe is in the way as it wraps around the primary.

A Snap-On 9/16" wrench fits with plenty of room to spare. Get a canvass pouch for the inside. Makes organizing things MUCH easier. This is the one I have in mine:

I actually ordered two of those this morning when I ordered the toolbox. I'm putting together an Amazon cart now with a side of gearwrench Ratchet wrenches, long handled hex and Torx wrenches I've already got enough small socket sets but I'm thinking about getting a set of Torx and hex sockets as backup. And I've already got enough spare pairs of vice grips and adjustable wrenches to throw some in.
I have a feeling this is going to be the first Harley that I'm actually going to have to do roadside repairs on. What I really need is a pocket-sized or digital troubleshooting manual since I'm obviously not going to take my giant shop manual with me in the saddlebags
