As he said, though, the motorcycle looks better with a solo seat, so unless you ride 2-up it's just as well to take off the back pad anyway.
I will have to make sure to add a seat screw check into my riding checklist, though, since the thought of my seat just falling off is a bit scary.
Just got a call back from my dealership! They are going to replace my seat for me free of charge, OR I can upgrade to a new seat with the same credit. Two thumbs up for Harley of Glendale!!! I totally agree it's not their fault, but I was hoping they would give me a break, and they did!!!
