Hi Guys who have installed the Samson duals, I have read (extensively it seems) of the issues that can crop up installing that rear pipe, I have to say installing the rest of the system is a breeze, and have bumped into similar issues.
It seems in some level of rotation into the head it is just about impossible to get a socket over the 1/2” flange nut, ever with a !/4” drive swivel socket, having tried on just this for a couple of hours yesterday I am about to give up for plan B.
I am going to bend an open 1/2” Socket 45 degrees at around 2” and attempt tightening from the left side.
Samson Instructions suggest tightening back to front on the left side I think, any of you guys get this rear head pipe aligned first and tightened then work away - ? , after all the tail pipe is pretty limited in movement on the bracket so Im guessing key positioning occurs in that rear connection on the mid pipe...?
So I wasn't able to edit the post I left so added here (sorry admins),
Im thinking of all the Samson installations I cannot locate photos of the install anywhere.....for example I trying to establish if the location of the mid pipe over the primary and the connection to the head pipe are in a location o theres might be familiar with.....for Samson to load up a few photographs of a correct install is asking too much?
If you're questioning the shift rod at close proximity with the pipes, I have Freedom Performance pipes and mine are extremely close also but works fine.

Any observations appreciated chaps.
I had similar issues when I installed my Samsons. The way that I solved it was basically just moving it around against the head until I saw that it was going to clear and tightened it there. There's one flange bolt that is a huge pain in the *** to tighten. I used an extension and a crawfoot open ended socket to be able to tighten that sucker.
Good luck bro, that pipe is a pain in the *** but once it's in, it's all worth it!
