My '02 Ultra Classic had true duals when I got it but I have no idea who made them! There are NO logos or any identifying marks/letters/numbers ANYWHERE on them!
The rear header has holes/leaks and I'd like to replace just that one header if at all possible, but for the life of me, I can't figure out who made it!!!!! If I have to get just a rear header pipe and new heat shield, can I do that and no worry about mis-matched front/rear or if I can't figure this out, will I have to get a whole new set (front and rear)?
Here are the pics I took of both today:
And the front pipe:
Again, I'd LOVE it if someone could tell me who made these headers so I can replace the rear header alone!!!!
I myself would change the whole system. If you have a hole in one the other may soon follow. Plus they would probably charge you more than usual for just one pipe. Just hope that Santa is good to you.
Actually, the damage to the rear header was done due to a missing nut/bolt on the mounting hardware. I'm sure the vibrations from that loose header is what caused the stress cracks/holes on that rear pipe.
Oh, don't get me wrong... I'd love to just put a whole new system on it, but I'm betting I'm looking at around $250 vs. close to $500 and Santa just spent his bank on his wife!
Not trying to cut corners on my bike but would love to save a bit of $$ where I can, you know?
I was thinking V&H true duals but I can't find a picture of them from the left side of the bike to see how the bends match up... The clue about the mount on the starter was pretty good... If anyone can verify that and has some pictures, that would be AWESOME!
