Default Dipstick broken

I have a 2010 Fatboy. The plastic dipstick broke off at the swivel in the rubber gasket and fell into the tank. I tried adding oil in the hopes it would float. I still cannot see it. Is there a way to get it out without removing the oil tank? Thanks for any help!

I lost a metal one in my tank a couple years ago, I guess it's still
there, no way of getting in the way and causing trouble I guess.

I have a fifty year old version of this little grabber. I’ve retrieved a lot of stuff I thought was gone for good.

drain the oil, shine a small flashlight in the filler opening so you can see where it is then pull it out with some home made tweezers of some sort. peice of cake

Wow, deja vu......

My Dad had one that was very similar, about 1969ish.... I recovered quite a few things with that "claw" thing he had....

I'll have to check his old tool box and see if he still has it... I doubt he'll remember if it's still around... he's 90 yrs old now..

That’s where I got mine. I have fished more bones and crap out of the disposal than you can imagine.
