Default C&C 2up Touring Seat

Hi all,

Was looking at this seat to replace my Saddleman King seat..The new Old lady isn't too happy with the existing seat. Was just wondering if anyone has used the C&C seat and what your thoughts were?

This would be going on a 2005 Fat Boy

I can't speak to that particular seat but I've bought others and their seats are some of the best in the business and their prices aren't bad for custom made seats. You can really get carried away with all the extras and they'll do just about anything you want if you talk to them ahead of time of your needs and expectations.
Their leather choices alone are unprecedented.

I had that seat on my Dyna, I never had an issue but the GF was uncomfortable after a couple hours. I just sent back their Squareback I ordered for my Heritage. I will tell you it was hard as rock and just didn't fit well. I posted it in the "What did you do to your Softail" section. It was a costly mistake.

If you're looking for all day comfort for you and her, you're best bet is to have Mean City Cycles do a seat for you. They'll take a factory seat or any seat and make it the way you want it. I have the memory foam upgrade. I can tell you we've spent hours in that seat, I'm talking 8 hours or more, and never one sore *** complaint.

I just pulled up the website to try to figure out which one you were looking at. I have the solo in my sig pic, and an identical sport tour model for two-up riding. They are well made - I love the work that Chuck and company do.

The sport tour is fine for short rides with the wife, but that is about it. She also has a sheepskin gel pad she used which could extend the duration a bit, but for anything more than bar hopping I have to use a Mustang wide touring for her.

This is the seat I was looking at.. I have read where people said the Mustang seat was hard as well....
  • SPORT TOUR is Designed for Driver + Passenger Seat Comfort on Longer Rides.
This Seat comes with a Wide + Level Surface Area for your Passenger.
  • 2UP Seats Provide a More Aggressive Lower Lumbar Support compared to the Solo Seat.
Additional Lumbar Support is Sought After in the Industry for Longer Rides.
2UP Seats will give your bike a fixed aesthetic, Choose to go with a Solo + Removable Passenger Pillion instead.
The ability to transform the rear end of your bike with removing or adding the Passenger Pillion is Very Easy.+

Looks similar to the custom sport tour I had them build. We tried riding from So Cal to Bishop on it, nearly 250 miles, and the wife could only get about an hour at a time before she was squirming. She nearly wanted to divorce me by the time we got to Bishop - most miserable trip we’ve ever had.

I immediately bought the Mustang when we got home, and we used it for all longer trips ever since… no more one hour butt. We still used the sport tour for short trips as it looks great.

As Tunaman stated, about an hour or so she'll be done, the craftsmanship is second to none, but the comfort level for the passenger is not up to par with other seats on the market. If you still have your stock seat, look into Mean City Cycles. But by no means purchase that seat if you plan on any long haul rides with the Misses.

True, seats are subjective, not everyone feels the same comfort levels, I was a cyclist for years, when you ride miles and miles on a piece of carbon fiber, anything with a cushion will feel good. I can't stress enough about Mean City, a few years back an ex and I did 9 days on the bike with some days over 9 and 10 hours. We held up in a hotel for one day due to rain, not a because we were uncomfortable.

I do not have the original seat any longer and I know they will not work on aftermarket seats.
