Default Used low mileage Crossbones price

Hey all. So long story short I've been on deployment for 7 months and I'm nearly back home. I'm trying to buy myself an early retirement gift I can ride along side my dad and the wife can ride on the back. He has a Road Glide Special with a 114 big bore kit so I've been looking at newer bikes that could keep up. I've been all over the place checking out 2019-2021 Street Bobs and Softail Slims trying to find one that's close to MSRP so I can keep payments around $300 a month but it's going to be tough without a down payment of $3000+

Recently I started thinking about my Crossbones I had back in 09 and I did a little searching and found this one that's pretty close to me.

From what I've seen the Bones go from $10-13k used and this one happens to be extremely low mileage. I'm asking the dealer for an odometer reading but is this a reasonable price for a low mileage bones like this? I'm starting to fall back in love with this bike and it would save me a good chunk of change on a down payment which would probably turn into some nice bolt ons and cams down the road. I appreciate any info you all have.

That is a clean one, always liked the vivid black better then the Matt finish, 4000 miles is not much even though it’s a 12 year old bike, I just bought a ‘09 heritage trike converted for 9k
oh and thank you for your service!

I appreciate it. Best 16 years of my life but I'm definitely ready to 'retire' and work on aircraft instead of the political stuff I have to deal with on a daily basis.

I had a black denim 09 and I liked how easy it was to keep clean. Just a basic wipe down with some bug and tar remover and it was clean. I had a ton of stuff done to the bike but I ended up installing a jockey shifter and foot clutch and it just made it a pain to ride. Still my favorite looking ride hands down.

Someone in the Forum had for sale recently. Might want to check out the classifieds in here.
ETA: Never mind, it was sold.

I just did a quick check on cycle trader and found 4. Asking prices are 2 08's at 12K each, a 09 also asking 12K and a 11 asking 13K.

I had a FX Springer for 11 years, so I love springers also. I just retired from the DoD in May, Fort Drum, Army base but did have a small AF squadron here.

I went to Fort Drum as an MP back in the early 70’s. We were policing the grunts during their cold weather training. It was a NG base back then. Great location for cold weather training. They had us in wooden WWII era barracks with coal fired furnaces. Froze our asses off. I got frost nipped after passing out in a snow bank. Still feel it in my fingers when they get cold.

Most of the old wooden barracks and older style structures are gone now, I was on post for over 21 years and spend all of them on the old side of post(where you would have been back then) and native to the North Country, so it still gets way below zero and our light winters are still over 100 inches

I have no idea what it’s worth, but it’s a good looking bike. And after deployment, you deserve something nice. Thank you for your service, enjoy retirement and the new bike.

I loved the look of the springer front end and the bobber feel of the bike. I wasn't a fan of the rear fender originally but I'm starting to like it more than the standard softail fender on the newer models. My one complaint was when I was trying to keep up with my dads Street Glide in the corners. I would scrape the entire way through and his floorboards never touched pavement. It was still a relaxed riding position though.

I got the itch to ride with my dad again. Before he lived in Illinois so we would rarely get together but we did end up riding the Tail of the Dragon together. His Street Glide wouldn't scrape the ground at all but my floorboards ended up getting half ground off trying to keep up.

I'm going to try to work a deal for the Street Bob but if they don't knock it down to MSRP I'll probably be making the hour and a half drive to check out this Crossbones and buying it if the mileage is correct and it isn't in bad shape.
