Tapping When Engaging Clutch
I have a 2016 Softail Slim S with 5,800 miles that I picked up two years ago with just over 1,000 on the clock. Had the 5K maintenance and the bike has been trouble free up to this point.
I rode to a concert last night and ended up in stop and go traffic for 90 minutes. About an hour in, I started hearing something tapping and initially feared it was a valve, but it seemed more like something clutch related since I figured out it was only happening when engaging a gear gear. Didn’t have any tapping when I left the show, so is it possible it was just due to the heat? Anyone else had this happen? It was only 80 degrees outside, but the bike was like sitting on a fireball.
Thanks!
