I need deuce info
I want to get rid of my solid rear wheel. Going to stay stock size but I want a 40 spoke wheel to match my front wheel.
My first question is what bikes have suitable donor rear wheel? I have the charts showing what Harley models came with 17x4.5 wheels, but that includes the various mag type wheels.
Second question is can someone give me the hub width of the solid Deuce wheel? I'm disabled and don't want to get on my hands and knees to tear my bike apart until I have everything to put it back together.
Third question, can someone telle the difference between an ABS wheel and a non-ABS one? I know what ABS is, and I see it noted on newer wheels but have not seen how it affects the wheel.
Finally, 25 mm bearings. As I understand it all wheels since at least 2000 have the same size O.D. bearings. But there are 3 different I.D, .75", 25MM, 1.0". With the 25MM being narrower than the others. Do hubs have to be machined to use a wheel designed for 25MM bearings my bike? I was told to just use a sleeve adapter, but I've seen scared axles doing this.
.Hope someone here can help me out.
