I ride a Dyna Switchback, which uses a 41mm fork, same as a Softail Slim.

I've added Racetech Springs and Gold Valve Emulators, which have improved the fork dramatically, but tweeking the settings requires a full tear down of the forks.

For you Softail owners, what have you done to upgrade your forks? Ideally, I'm looking for an option that allows for preload and damping adjustment (ideally, have the damping split between compression and rebound).

I did not change springs, all I did was Ricor Intimidators and Amsoil Shock Therapy.
Just those changes made a big difference.
