Default battery tender question

Hi Guys: I'm gifting a battery tender to a buddy of mine and installing it for him. He's got a 2006 Softail Standard. I've only owned Dynas myself, so I'm wondering if there's any preferred way to route the wiring on a Softail so it's easy to get to, but unobtrusive at the same time?

Thanks.

Mine just dangles out the left side fwd on the oil bag and is just long enough so the heavy capped plug if I tuck it behind coil cover catches there.

I have mine zip-tied under the coil.

I route the battery tender pigtail so it exits the right side under the seat and behind the oil bag like 04FXDI shows. I route the jump start pigtail out the left side the same way.

How big a gage is your jump start pigtail? Actually one could use it for charger. As long as your attachment reverses for the doaner battery. I would recommend never jumping a Harley except in an emergency.

The pigtail I use to jump the bike is for the Antigravity XP-10 micro jump starter. I don't know what gauge the jump start pigtail is but it is much heavier than a tender pigtail. This is the jump start pigtail. It is specific for that jump start model.
