Default Evo twin cam softail wheels swap

Anybody know if wheels from a 98 softail will fit on a 2001 softail without (or with) modification? Both heritage softails.
they look the same, but before I rip them off and try, just looking for some advice.
thanks

i think as long as they have the same bearings,.... and there both 3/4 axles ( timken style bearing ) im not sure if the 01 has a sealed bearing
if your 01 has a sealed bearing then its not going to be a direct swap

i switched my 98 rear wheel solid fat boy wheel, to a 99 dyna spoke and it went well
have to use the spacers and all from your bike

im just not sure if the 01 has a sealed bearing and 1 inch axle ..

hopefully some one will chime in
