Buy a Deluxe to go with your Heritage. I just ordered an '08 for the wife.
Other than the things already mentioned, the Deluxe tank badge really stands out and makes the bike distinctive.
Hey Marsh...I think your bike looks pretty good already...IMO, I would change to the WW tires, and the shorter blinker stalks...maybe consider a seat with the chair/grab rail...I think this also adds to the nostalgic look of the deluxe!!
I love my Heritage too and can't wait for the tires to wear out to put whitewalls on it!!. Only 5000 miles so far. I have a friend with a deluxe and I know what you mean, I had second thoughts when I first say it....they are very classy but I think with the whitewalls on, change the tail lights (if possible) and perhaps the bars and take the bags off and they are very close to the same bike. Of course you might have to put a piece of tape over where it says HERTIGAGE SOFTAIL and Magic Marker DELUXE on it !!!!!!!
How do you like the Pythons?? I have Rush slip on's on my ride but am thinking of changing to the Pythons or the V & H true duals but can't quite make up my mind. I loike loud pipes and also like the look of a pipe on each side.

I like the Python real well and am currently running open pipes without the baffles. It was fairly loud with the baffles in, but the open pipes has a nicer tone to me. Great sound. I personally like both pipes on the same side except for touring models. Then the true duals are cool, but to each his own.
The Pythons are about $75.00 cheaper than the V&H's because they don't have the machined tip on the end. They are made by V&H.
Marsh
On another note; I have ordered the 10" rear blinker bar.
Hey Marsh and Grzly, or anyone else that has them, what handle bars did you put on the Heritage. I don't care for mini-apes and can't decide which way I want to go. I don't want full out beach bars so I'm considering what's on the Fatboy or what's on the Deluxe.
