Looking for a leather tank bib that will not curl and lay flat on my 09 Custom. I have taken mine off numerous times and rolled it on a water bottle only to last a day at the most. Thinking maybe braiding on edges will take up some of the contour of the tank. Not interested in a hard plastic bib and no chrome.
Well, I have two crotch coolers from them, one on my bike, one on the wife's. They curl up. I think it's just the nature of leather, not anything to do with craftmanship or quality. Just the nature of the beast.
A friend just sent me this. She made it for me, matches my tattoo. Family initials under His wings based on Psalm91:4.
i found some magnetic tape at Hobby Lobby that I attached to either side of it. Haven't ridden with it on there yet since I'm waiting on the new tires I ordered to come in so hoping it stays put.

Interesting tid bit. If you don't replace it, why not try rolling it and placing it in a bottle of olive oil or some sort of liquid saddle oil. Saddle oil is probably going to be way expensive though. Worth a try I'd say. Let us know how it works out if you do so.

used neats foot oil and leather conditioner and rolling on to a water bottle with zip ties. The vinyl on the edges has gotten hard and I think it is part of the problem. Thanks for the reply

OK. Thanks for letting us know. Time to trim the vinyl off and give it some holes and leather lace along the edges. Shoe repair store could punch the holes or tac shop that works leather for a living. Best of luck.
