Wind Deflectors
I had be thinking about the deflectors and after reading the posts here I got a set for my '05 Heritage Classic . I installed them Saturday night and went for a test run (about 50 miles) Sunday. The do work. It isn't like riding in a Buick with the windows closed but it does make a big difference. I did seem to notice a little more air on the my ankle area but maybe its just because I had less air on the face. My jacket coller didn't flap as usual at 80 mph. It's gonna' be in the mid 30's in the morning for my 18 mile commute to work. That will be a good test. I'll try to post a pix or two tomorrow.
Here are some pix of the H-D wind deflectors on an '05 Heritage Classic. I've seen some on a fatboy but they didn't have the square cutout to clear an engine guard. Maybe those weren't H-D issue.....

Do they really work that well??
When I have the windscreen on my Deuce it really pushes my head back. I know a windscreen on a deuce is not cool but it helps with bugs and when the temp drops. I notice that the wind comes more from the bottom than over the top. I have not really looked into the deflectors ...yet.

No, Doc, I didn't loosen them, although the entire light bar gets loose when you remove the bolts holding the windshield docking plates. The fit was snug but I flexed the deflectors a bit to gain some clearance between the deflectors and signals so as not to create a pressure point and vibrate the chrome off. I can slide a polishing cloth up between them now. I may have distorted the shape a bit by flexing , but if so it's not visible. The mounting holes are slotted so you have some adjustment there. You're supposed work one side at a time and leave the mounting screws semi loose until both parts are on and then snug them down. I used some blue locktite on the screw threads. I left the windshield in place to hold the docking stations until all screws were back in.
Ifn your talking about the harley davidson wind deflectors, Yes they will work on the deluxe. I have them on my deluxe. One bolt for the windshild seemed to be a tad short tho, had to leave washer off on one to get it to go in.

I really like those, I wonder if they will work on a deluxe?

I had these on my '03 Heritage and they worked well. Yes, they rested snuggly up against the back of the turn signals, and prevented me from adjusting the spots down far enough to keep from being a nuisance to oncoming drivers at night. I slipped one of those little felt pads (used for under lamps and tables on tile floors) just behind the turn signal housing and you couldn't see it at all -- but it prevented the chrome-on-chrome problem.
No problem even here in Houston getting enough air to the engine. These deflectors blocked the air from hitting the knees/shins and also from coming up under the windshield. The good thing was that in the summer they were fairly easy -- and quick -- to remove when we hit the upper 90's and I needed that additional airflow.
