Default RE: Wind Deflectors

I installed mine (05 Heritage Classic) and they really work. The turbulence near the speedometer behind the windshield is gone; so much so that it might be possible to light a cigarette, if I still smoked. More air on the legs, and it also felt like the front end was a little more playful in a strong wind, but not enough to remove them. A lot less wind coming up from the forks that normally hit me in the face. I had the same experience with one of the fasteners being a little too short. I finally figured out that after pulling both bolts out of one side at the same time, I got them mixed up; the lower bolt is longer. I was trying to install the lower bolt in the upper hole.

Correction: the upper bolt is the longer one.
