I have a 2018 Breakout and have owned it since April of this year.
About 2 months after buying it I wanted a more upright comfortable ride so decided to purchase 1-1/2” riser extensions.
I installed them and the ride was better and felt the bars a bit closer to me and not so leaned forward.
After a while I felt it still wasn’t enough.
I thought about installing 12” Ape Hangers in the future, but really like the look of the motorcycle with the drag bars. So I ordered an inexpensive set of drag bars a with 7-1/2” pullback in hopes of them being closer to me. On my way home from work, I thought about adjusting the stock ones and tried it when I got home. Low and behold it worked. They seemed a bit tilted downwards so I evened them out to be straight with a very minimal incline.
Took her for a ride and the ride was night and day. I wish I would have thought about this adjustment sooner! Guess the new bars that I ordered today may not be used after all.
I am 5’6” tall and just wanted to share this as I have read posts about the stock bars not being comfortable for other riders. Hope this helps other Breakout owners with my same dilema.
