Looking to put a solo sprung seat kit on my 2004 Softail Spring (FXSTS). HD says they do not have a kit so looking at aftermarket. Motherroad Customs seems to have a kit but it is a bit pricey. Anyone have experience putting a solo sprung seat kit on an 04? Recommendations for what works and where to get it?

You might look thru the V-Twin Mfg online catalog. It appears that they
have a lot of different style spring seats.
Ordered the full conversion kit from Mother Road Customs - pan, seat and pad. Supposed to be arriving in the next few days, will post some before and after pics when I get the set on.

Just wondering, which mount kit did you get ? The 2130 ?
Mother Road Customs seat kit on my Deluxe. It made it very difficult to get to the battery or wires.
Thanks for the pic MB. Looks like there is a 'process' to get to the battery
with that cover/seat. Do you start with the front nose of the seat & work to
the back to get to the pan cover bolts ? Just wondering because I'm currently
in the process of re-working my setup. I'm tired of going through small batteries
every two years just for a true 'flat frame cover look'. I'm disappointed with the
current state of battery development - seems to have stalled even though all
the 'big dogs' are commited to EV's by 2035....
You can start on either end, I need to have access to this area from time to time so this setup didn't work for me. Other than that I liked the seat and the look.

Ok, good to know. So for 'inquiring minds'... What did you end up with instead ?
