Default Neutral safty switch?

Does a 07 softail have a neutral safety switch so it can't start in gear? I was told no, this true?

`07 is the first year for the neutral / clutch safety system.

You can start a bike while in gear, you just need to pull the clutch lever in.

but,,,,,,,,,,, if you have the tassels on the lever it might not be activating the switch. I put those on the wife's '16 Heritage and it was just enough t keep from contacting the switch so I had to remove them.

Had the same problem after adding tassels. Solved it by epoxying a small metal plate to the switch so that pulling the clutch lever in would depress the switch allowing starting in gear.

Bike has no Tassles.
Bike has no name.
Bike is not a she or he.
Bike is just a machine, an `89 FLSTC.

Tassels are just about the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen a person do to a motorcycle. There - that's that.
