Default Grip removal

Picked up a set of grips to replace the stock ones. What is the trick to get the left grip off??

Undo the switch and stick a long thin flat blade screwdriver under the grip. Wiggle it in as far as it will go. Then squirt some contact cleaner in there, give a twist and pull. Harley doesn't use glue on the late model grips.

Utility knife..the stockers ain't worth saving unless you plan to use it for a pencil holder.

<tip> if your new grips don't have the lip that goes under the left side controls, use the knife to cut that piece off and leave it under the switches, it'll help keep the water out

I just used this method today but instead of contact cleaner I used a penetrating lube.

Utility knife w/new blade, you'll also need to back-out thenut on the throtle cable (dont forget to mark the original spot of the nut).

I just twisted as hard as I could and it broke loose.
