Sweet mother of, you know who. Please Madison Bill, do not consider that AC cover for your thing of beauty lol. While that cover has it's place on certain bikes, I don't believe yours in one of them.

Well do not care for the politics at Whirlpool. They are about the worst suck Individuals I ever ran across. Very sad folks. Took a Navsea test at Lg3. Navsea class A welder test passed. They want me to run there night shift. Eight of the Twelve employees on days I trained at other jobs. They all volunteered for nights. Only three were selected. High class straight up operation. Very good folks. They topped The pay of whirlpool. This job is nothing but Military Parts. High class Navy cabinets. Pretty much economy Proof. So now if I dip into the slush fund I know it can be replaced. Feel For you folks working commercial Products. Recession is right around the corner, This is not pro republicans or Pro Democrats. Facts are the idiots In office suck. They are making the same mistakes they made In the late seventy's and early eighties. Oh well I'll just run a crew welding up Cabinets for the US Navy and rebuild a sweet 2010 Fatboy. Life goes on. Ready to order parts.

Waiting on parts so now it is clean up time. Plan on flushing out oil tank and oil cooler with denatured Alcohol. Good idea or not open to suggestions.

Now we are looking at 10 hour days plus Saturdays. Including A two hour ride back and forth. The interview went great much to my dismay. Now we are scheduled for a very intense weld test on various types of metal. Self pride is overpowering common sense. Aircraft has been my speciality for over 20 years plus. So much for kicking back. Upside is will have more than enough funds to rebuild the Fatboy.
With any luck maybe you will get a false positive on the pisstest.

Flushed the oil cooler and the oil tank. Used denatured alcohol. Plugged inlets and outlets on oil tank and filled with alcohol and let it sit for a couple hours. Same with oil cooler. A gallon of denatured alcohol runs about $19.00 dollars but works great. Blew everything out and polished both up with Turtle wax chrome cleaner followed up with a coat of high dollar carnauba paste wax. All the rubber oil lines are going to be replaced. 98,000 miles plus 5 years of sitting I do not trust them at all.

Been awhile but project rebuild is back online. Just ordered some simple hand tools since most of my stuff is metric. Really like Milwaukee tools. Good price and good quality stuff. About $1000.00 dollars worth of wrenches and sockets plus odds and ends. Waiting on parts from S&S but still cleaning and breaking down parts on the bike. Slow and steady progress. Need to get gas tank and fenders cleaned up for paint job.

Question about removing and installing bearings in lower cases. Replacing the crankshaft with a S&S. Will a harbor freight one ton press do the job with proper tooling? Plan on going back in with the tinkerman bearings. Have a drill press.

Well just dropped $500.00 dollars on a 10 ton benchtop Hydraulic press. Figure that will cover my needs. One ton will not cover installation of Jim's tinkerman bearing kit. Not about to build with new S&S crankshaft without proper bearings.Ordered Jim's tool 34902-84 and Jim's tool 900 along with tool to install shifter seal(transmission) Time comes plan on ordering Jim's transmission rebuild kit for transmission. No sense in rebuilding the motor and blowing off the transmission. Not going about this by cutting corners and doing a make shift job. Proper tools are a must have. While waiting on tools and parts will continue cleaning up.
