I am looking into the passenger touring pillion for my 05 Springer classic.
The part number is 51898-05A. I also found one that is the same description but the part number does not have the A at the end.
I called the dealer and the parts guy explained the "A" denotes a newer model but is more often the exat saem part. The only difference could be a different manufacturer (??) or even update install instructions.
Anyone know what really gives with the A at the end?
RE: Difference in Part Number? Whats with the "A?"
The dealer guy is right, it could be any of the reasons given. Or it could be that they got some feedback that said they were seeing someminor problem with it and they updated the manufacturing process to correct it.
