I have a 2002 Harley fatboy carbureted. Can any one that owns a 2002 fatboy tell me if there is a spacer on the rear wheel between the frame and the brake caliper. the reason I asked is when I loosen the axle nut there is about a 1/8 space between the brake caliper and the frame
Thanks in advance.
PS if there is a spacer there could you please send a picture. I cant find any spacer in the parts book so I am not certain if there is one
Maybe this will help, looks to be two spacers different sizes, might be reversed.
Do not know if there is one between the caliper & frame. #14 & #21
:
#14 41595-00B SPACER REAR AXLE, LEFT
#21 43654-00A SPACER WHEEL
Yes I have those two spacers #14 is about 2 inches long and #21 is about 3/4 inch long. # 14 butts up to the frame on the belt side and #21 butts up to the caliper which butts up to the frame. I was wondering if there is a spacer about 1/8 inch thick that goes between the other side of the caliper and then butts up to the frame

As I remember on my 2003 Heritage, the only real spacers are on the axle, and shown in the parts pics above.... even the caliper bracket portion that the axle goes through acts like a spacer...
Are you talking about the rubber bumper that is mounted on the actual caliper, where it rests on the bottom tube of the swing arm....??
It would be #11 in the pic below...
I can go look at my Heritage tomorrow, and take a look to see if there is something else like a spacer on the caliper that I just can't picture in my head right now...

found the answer to my question today on a ride. Came across two softail fatboys one 2002 and one 2003 both carbed. Neither one had the spacer I thought might be missing on my bike
Thanks for your replies
